One of the most common concerns I hear from parents before a family photo session is: “What if my child doesn’t behave? They never sit still!”

As a family photographer, I fully expect kids to be KIDS! Whether they are feeling silly, curious, full of energy, shy, or reserved - it’s totally normal and nothing to worry about! You don’t need perfectly behaved little models to get beautiful photos. Honestly, some of the best moments come from the chaos and just letting them be who they are.
We Keep Things Fun & Light
During your session, we’re not just standing around posing. I take your children’s lead. We’ll have fun, explore, tell silly jokes, and maybe even have a little dance party. The vibes are chill and the goal is to keep your children engaged and happy, so they don’t even realize they’re “posing” for photos.
When they’re having fun, their real personalities shine and that’s exactly what we want to capture!
Let Them Be Themselves
Some of the most meaningful photos come from the in-between moments: a shared giggle, a goofy face, a big hug with mom or dad.
Those moments are what make your photos feel like your family. Let your kids do their thing without any pressure. Let them play and let them run around. If it feels like a chore to them, they’ll check out fast (and who can blame them?). If we turn it into a fun experience where they can laugh, move, and just be themselves, they’ll actually enjoy it. That shows in the photos!!
Yes, We’ll Get “The Shot,” Too
Of course, we’ll also get those classic shots with everyone looking at the camera and smiling. I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve for that. While we will get plenty of these photos of everyone looking at the camera, I want your final gallery to be more than just picture-perfect smiles. I want it to tell the story of your family with a mix of posed and candid moments that you’ll look back on and feel all over again.
