Some sessions just radiate joy and are pure fun - and this was definitely one of those sessions!!
I photographed this sweet family at Islip Grange, a beautiful local spot on Long Island with so many charming nooks and natural backdrops for photos. Between the greenery, open space, and cozy corners, it’s one of my favorite locations for outdoor family photography on Long Island. From the very first moment, this family brought so much energy and happiness, making the entire session feel SO easygoing and fun!
This family booked their session to celebrate this season of life with their daughter, and you could feel their connection in every single photo that we took! There was so much laughter, dancing, singing, and truly genuine joy throughout the session. At one point, we were all dancing and singing together - it really was one of those sessions where everything clicks and it’s all smiles from start to finish! This age is really fun to photograph because their personalities are really starting to shine!
We captured playful moments, heartfelt hugs, and all the little interactions that make family photos so meaningful. Everything felt natural and authentic, and the photos really are more than just family photos - they show their connection as a family!
Their outfits were perfect for the session! Everything flowed perfectly and I loved the pops of color. Photographing their session at Islip Grange was awesome because it allowed their photos to feel timeless and classic, and really let who they are as a family shine!
Sessions like this are exactly why I love being a Long Island family photographer. Relaxed, joyful sessions filled with real connection are what I live for. I especially love working with families with babies and toddlers, because this season passes so quickly, and these are the memories you’ll want to hold onto forever! It really is such an honor to capture these moments!
If you’ve been thinking about scheduling family photos on Long Island, I’m currently booking spring outdoor family sessions. And if you’re more drawn to something a little cozier, winter sessions (whether outdoors or in studio) can be just as meaningful. No matter the season, I’d love to help you capture your family exactly as you are: the joy, the connection, and all those little in-between moments, in a way that feels relaxed, natural, and completely YOU!
